Ruth liked the damp impression of Athol's woodland picture. She thought it had atmosphere with the ghostly trees in the background.

Athol thought this one was eery with the unchecked growth.

Both Bob and Sonia thought this picture from Bob worked well, with the slanting foreground tree dominating the frame and the assorted trees behind balancing the picture. The background faded away into the distance.

We all liked Fiona's beach scene. Brian thought it almost an abstract. He admired the amazing shadow and the dots of pebbles.
BW

Les thought this shot from Brian was a very good composition, with the groynes going off into the distance and the horizontal lines of sky, sea, wet and dry sand.

Brian chose this picture taken in Anglesey, with the shadows forming an unexpected pattern.
GL

Gillian was pleased with her woodland scene with the light coming through and the colours.

Morag chose Gillian's picture of a Christmas tree decorated by local school children. The decorations can only go as far as small children can reach!

Neil thought Irene's image taken on Portobello beach was a lovely picture.

We all liked Joe's darning picture - a different still life.
