Marthe was much impressed by this fireworks shot from Fiona. Fiona explained that it was essential to use a tripod or something to steady the camera. Success depended on a lot of practice as it was necessary to anticipate when the firework would start when pressing the shutter.

Fiona herself chose this shot of a rape-field under an interesting sky - a study in yellow and blue.

Frances chose her own picture of a rose taken in the beautiful Morwell Centenary Rose Garden, Australia.

Les chose this creative, original shot "Husband through fountain"

Both Gillian and her reviewer Sandra chose Gillian's picture of an illuminated Edinburgh Castle. Sandra commented that it was an unusual picture and impressive in that it captured so many of the lights.

Frances chose Ingrid's picture of the Blue Fountains on Hamilton Island, highlighted by a figue in red.

Sonia chose Irene's Grey Heron Take-off. The bird is in the perfect spot in the picture. There is the line of the water trail and the line of the bird's shadow. A good minimal shot.

Irene herself chose "10 Times up" - the dandelion clock reminds her of childhood and she liked the textured look.

Ruth chose Joe's picture of a small child, because it was such a natural, unposed picture and the child looked so interested in her surroundings.

Joe himself chose his picture of Hong Kong, which he felt looked like a Chinese print in black and grey ink.
