Les was pleased with his hydrangea bark, almost like a view of Mars.

Both Martin and Sonia liked Martin's picture taken in France. The different textures, the fuzzy cloud layer, the rocks and mountain crags plus the building make an interesting picture.
Sonia also liked this one from Martin, with its good juxtaposition of different textures – soil, grass, sky.

Mary's set of pictures had us all puzzling over apparently abstract compositions, which were actually parts of boats awaiting renovation.
Les chose this one for its terrific colours.
