Alex thought this picture gave the feeling of a stormy day.

Julie liked Alex's shot of one of the poet statues. She admired the clarity of the statue, standing out from the background.

Joe thought this one from Athol told a story, with its lone man in the scene.

Athol was pleased with the lines in the ice in this picture.

This was an interesting one from Bob T - although taken in the summer, the foliage looks as if it were covered in snow or frost. Mary chose it.

Bob was interested in how the colours would work in black and white in this picture of the colourful Colinton Tunnel.

Alex liked this one from Brian. The fading light and the flying birds all added to the effect.

Unusually, Brian had taken his pictures using his phone and was interested in how things would work. He was pleased with this composition, seeing the monastery through the arches.
