In May we went out together to take pictures of our local urban landscape. On Wednesday we were near the St James Quarter, so we start with a selection from there (and other places).

Alex is a new member of the group and we liked his row of spires with fields visible behind

Alex himself was pleased with St Giles looking as if it was in the country

Bob liked this picture from Anne. He thought the man in the shelter looked as if imprisoned. The reflections resulted in lots of images telling a story.

Anne was pleased with this alternative scene. There was a contrast between the man taking a break and the smart area of the cafe beyond.

Martin felt a sense of distance, balance between old and new and between black and while and coloured in this picture from Bob D, called "Jenners no more"

Bob himself was pleased with this black and white shot of people leaving the St James Quarter.

This picture was admired by everyone and Bob T was pleased with it. The focus on the man on the steps watching the world go by and the juxtaposition of the other two in shot was just right.

Sonia also liked the view of people through the giraffe's legs, including one of our own photographers!

Bob D admired this picture from Fiona, with its strong lines.
